My name is Dylan Stewart. I own and maintain this website. I was baptized into the Lord's church in May 2012 at 18 years old. After becoming a Christian, I placed membership at Elon church of Christ in New Hope, AL, and was a member there from May 2012 to May 2022. I currently am a member of the East Albertville church of Christ, and have attended there since May 2022. Many of us have interesting conversion stories, so I thought I might share mine in hopes of highlighting the significance of faithful grandparents.
My grandfather, Harry Stewart, was a member of the Chapman Acres church of Christ in North Huntsville (the former Stevens Avenue church of Christ) for roughly 30 years. The Christians there knew that if my grandfather was going to be involved with me then I would most certainly be coming to church services with him, so several members of Chapman Acres chipped in and bought my grandfather a car seat to take me to worship services as a "grandfather's shower" present, and the rest is history. My grandfather began taking me to worship services with him at Chapman Acres in Huntsville in 1995 when I was 18 months old, and he and I attended church together for every service at Chapman Acres until we moved to a small town called Grant and started worshipping at the Elon church of Christ in the early 2000s, where we also attended every service together until he passed away at 90 years old in December 2020. One of the earliest memories I have is getting ready to go to church services one Sunday morning with my grandad. I'm grateful that one of my earliest memories is going to church with my grandad, and I'm likewise thankful to know that the last time I got to see him was also at church services one Sunday morning. My grandad was the person who took me to church for the first time, was there with me when I was baptized, and was there at church with me at the end of his life when he really was too sick to be there, providing physical proof of what it truly means to love assembling with the saints (Hebrews 10:24-25; Psalm 122:1). So many of us have been blessed to witness faithful brethren who desired to walk as "imitators of God" (Ephesians 5:1), and I am eternally grateful for the example my grandfather set for me.
This website was created in hopes of bringing “the good news” of salvation by edifying, uplifting, exhorting, instructing, and teaching its readers more about God’s Word (Acts 8:12). I am by no means a "trained" preacher. I have no formal training or education in ministry. I am simply a Christian. I am a Christian with a background in writing who has been blessed to hear sound doctrine (1 Timothy 4:6), and I am striving to continue in that sound doctrine (Titus 1:9). If you ever read something on this site that you perceive to be error, do not hesitate to contact me via the Contact Form and state your concerns. I would not count you as an enemy, but rather a friend if you corrected me in my error (Galatians 4:16). However, if you find biblical support for the teachings found on this site, then heed them and make proper application of the knowledge that you acquire (Mark 4:24; Romans 10:16-17). If you ever have any comments, questions, suggestions, or would like to discuss a biblical topic further, please complete the Contact Form and I will respond to your inquiry as soon as possible. Good luck in your endeavors of studying God's Word!
In Christian Love,
Dylan Stewart
Under the Materials tab, you will find the Bible Blog, Sermon Outlines, Audio Sermons, Sentence Sermons, and The Whole Counsel of God.
In the Bible Blog, you will find many original articles I have written over the years. Lord willing, a new article is published every Saturday. You can search for a topic based on categories, or you can scroll from the most recent to the oldest published article in the Bible Blog.
In Sentence Sermons, you will find several one-sentence-bible-based-sermons intended to be very quick reads that provoke further thought and consideration. These sentence sermons can be useful for serving as a jumping-off point for further Bible study.
In Sermon Outlines, you will find downloadable PDFs of sermon outlines I have created and preached over the years. I pray these may be useful to you.
In Audio Sermons, you will find numerous short-form and long-form sermons I have recorded and preached. Short sermons are recorded privately at my desk while full-length sermons are sermons taught publicly within a church service.
In The Whole Counsel of God, you will find downloadable PDF versions of the journal that I publish and distribute to subscribers of this website every other month. Various Christians contribute articles to this journal.
Under the Resources tab, you will find various free tools, resources, and bible software that I believe may be helpful for studying God's Word. While these are all useful for supplementing a study of the Bible, please do not allow these resources to replace the Bible itself.
Additionally, I have also included numerous links to the websites of a few churches local to the North Alabama area, as well as the websites of other brethren who I know, all of which can be freely accessed. I have found these websites fruitful for studying God's Word. Please be aware that I have no oversight over anything that is posted to these websites. If you ever have any concerns regarding anything you find to be questionable teaching presented on these sites, contact me via the Contact Form and I will investigate. I would also encourage you to contact the website owners to voice your concerns.
