The word of God is sharper than any two-edged sword;
it sharply cuts, within a contrite heart, every guilty chord.
A spotless and clear mirror, it perfectly evaluates the soul.
By it we know if we will taste blessing or wrath from divinity's bowl.

Our journeys are filled with the highest of highs and lowest of lows,
yet, everyday, whether joyful or sad, the Father’s goodness continually shows.
Looking to Him, in every circumstance we find strength whilst weak,
both while lost in our deepest valley and when standing upon our highest peak.

The blood of Christ has shed
countless blessings upon my head.
Now, I must put to bed
that which made me dead
and left His body red.
Redeemed by what He shed,
I no longer will be led
by the one from whom I fled.
Rather, I cleave to the Head
who raised me from the dead.
To Him I am spiritually wed
and can now joyfully look ahead.
By His good favor I am fed
and no longer live in dread,
now saved by heavenly bread.

A place of rest is found by those in Him who are completed.
With the Master, faithful servants are now seated,
enjoying every spiritual blessing coming down from His throne.
What mercy and love by the Father was shown,
to offer such a spotless and perfect Lamb to bear
all of our sins, including every burden and care.
A place of rest has been offered by God through His Son.
We long to hear Him say to us before the nations, “Well done,”
and be ushered in to the place where all suffering is lost.
Whatever pain and anguish we endured will be worth the cost,
since we know joy and comfort await all who continually pressed
to arrive at the shores of the eternal place of rest.
